my dash vent cable keeps jumping off the pin when i use it... anyone have a nifty fix? it is really tight in there for work, especially with my fat fingers.

i finally took the toggle switch from under my seat out and ran a wire to a switched source for the fuel pump. now i just need to quit reaching under the seat out of habit!

a bit more fiddling and i have the mpg up to 19 for combined 50/50 highway/city driving. i'd love to get that # to 22, but i'm not really ready to lean out the FI at all.

with all the little fixes, it will finally be something i feel okay about letting my wife drive the car.

I just went out and started the 412. after 10 months of sitting with 1/2 tank of old gas and it fired off! didn't even touch the gas pedal! just cranked it once with a very low battery, added the charger to boost the voltaige and bam it fired off! i've got to get out there with some drive and get that alternator pivot changed so the belt will stay on the car and start driving it with a 4 sale in it this winter.

Anyway, i'm just amazed the old gas didn't phase the FI!

It would be if it still had the original dealer installed woodgrain sides and no flames. Very Happy
